After making the decision we wanted a VW Camper, we thought the best process was buying a van, and getting it converted to how we wanted it. Luckily whilst getting our car MOT’d we were recommended SMC Campers. On first meeting Christien it became obvious how serious he took his work, and the attention to detail he put in. He took the time to discuss many things with us, even before we had decided to go ahead, nothing appeared a problem to him, including giving us advice on the base van we should purchase, and even offered to come with us to an auction if needed.
Once we had purchased the van, he gave us advice on colours and specifications to ensure we got what we wanted. The heater is a must, and we are definitely glad we took your advice on that.
During the conversion we got pictures of the progress that was being made, and we were kept up to date on when the van would be ready. When it was ready, Christien took time to explain how things worked, and gave us an information pack, which made the change of classification with the DVLA simple, and reminded us of things we forgot!!
Even after we picked the van up, Christien & Kerry have been very helpful with advice on anything related to the van, and I would feel comfortable ringing them with any queries.
We have just returned from our 2nd trip away, and the van has exceeded our expectations, and are looking forward to our 3rd trip away already.
