After deciding on a T5 conversion, we started researching where to get the work done when we were recommended SMC Campers. It was an amazing stroke of luck, as we hadn’t seen Christien advertise in any of the magazines, however it was certainly meant to be.
After speaking to Christien and deciding what spec we wanted, it quickly became apparent that his knowledge on T5 conversions was absolutely second to none.
We brought our van from the Isle of Man to Heysham where he and Kerry very kindly travelled down which enabled us to get the ferry straight back to the Island.
We were kept up to date at regular intervals with photos of work in progress, in fact it became a bit of a ritual checking e-mails for new pics and I’d also ring up for a chat on how things were going.
Right on cue the time came to pick the van up and again Christien and Kerry made the trip to Heysham in Lancaster so we could collect it. It was a pig of a day weather wise with gale force winds, rain and sleet, but this van shone out above anything else at the port. We got in and Christien explained how everything worked.
In the weeks since getting her home, we have had lots of days out and Lisa Kaitlin have been out overnight in her.
You read testimonials on his website on the exceptionally high standard of his work, however his eye for attention to detail is incredible, the van is perfect in every way!
We are now looking forward to trips to Ireland, the Lake District and the South Coast of England. We have also found new friends in Christien and Kerry.
